Abstract

|
본 연구 결과 자기유능감은 애착안정성과 사회불안 및 우울 사이에 매개효과를 나타내며 자기유능감은 학령기 후기 아동의 사회불안 및 우울과 연관됨이 입증되었다. 애착안정성과 사회불안 및 우울의 관계를 파악하는데 그치지 않고 나아가 자기유능감의 매개적 역할을 검증함으로써 애착안정성과 사회불안 및 우울 간의 관계를 구체적으로 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 사회불안 및 우울 예방 및 관리 프로그램 내용 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 도움이 될 것이다. 즉 학령기 후기 아동의 사회불안 및 우울 관리 시 자기유능감을 고려하여 개인적 상황에 적합한 중재방안이 마련될 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서 확인된 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 제언을 하고자 한다.첫째, 본 연구는 자아가 지각한 낮은 유능감이 개별적으로 사회불안과 우울을 예측할 수 있음을 밝혔고, 추후 연구에서는 아동이 성인이 되어감에 따라 사회불안과 우울에 지각한 유능감의 각 영역이 어떠한 역할을 하는지 규명할 필요가 있다.둘째, 본 연구는 애착안정성과 변수 간의 관계를 밝히고 매개요인으로 자기유능감 효과를 검증하였으나, 예방 및 관리 프로그램에 대해새서는 언급되지 않았으므로 자기유능감 증진을 포함하는 효과적인 간호중재 개발과 적용을 제안한다.

Purpose: This descriptive correlational study was designed to examine the relationship of attachment security to social anxiety and depression. In addition, the mediating effect of self competency in relation to attachment security and the other variables was investigated.
Methods: Data were collected from 194 students in grade 5 or 6, and descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierachical multiple regression were used with SPSS/PC 12.0 program to analyze the data. The instruments used were Kerns, Klepac and Cole’s Security Scale, La Greca & Stones’ Revised Social Anxiety Scales for children (SASC-R), Cho and Lee’s Korean form of Kovacs’ children’s Depression Inventory (CDI) and Harter’ Self-perception Profile for Children.
Results: There were significantly negative effects between attachment security and the variables, social anxiety and depression. Also, self competency was negatively correlated with social anxiety and depression. Self competency had a significant mediating effect on the relation of social anxiety and depression to attachment security.
Conclusion: For the effective management and prevention of social anxiety and depression in school-aged children, programs including strategies to increase self competency should be developed. These programs can increase self competency which has a mediator role between attachment security and the other variables (social anxiety and depression).
